When a God Cries

from Approximate Symmetry by Maxi Göthling

/

about

"When a God Cries" is from the perspective of a supposedly omnipotent god who has to come to terms with the fact that he is in fact fallible... that their creation is imperfect (in reference to the track before). The song is written to portray agony and anger on a cosmic scale. The piano notes are the tears of a god, caught in the turbulent cosmic ether of its anger. It's a triumph of humanity over this deity. Whereas the mortal existence found beauty in that imperfection, this god is incapable to do so. The contradiction between the failings of this god and the omnipotence is unsolvable.

"Feel what we feel, but don't be able to embrace it" says humanity.

Therefore this song is a celebration of humanity.
