At the End of Time

from Approximate Symmetry by Maxi Göthling

about

"At The End Of Time" is an intentional outlier in the middle of the album. My main instrument is the guitar, I've been playing it since my teenage years, so it would have been a shame if I let those skills just rot away. My metal influences shine through massively. If you're into Swedish melodic metal you'll know what I mean. But in general, this song is a break from the agony and semi-pessimism in the first half. It's as if something else carries you and your burdens for a while - to allow for a break. You receive peace for a bit until you get uplifted to great heights. It's a break from all the destruction, and a sign that things get better. A beacon of hope and energy.
